Bored of wearing the same kind of outfits and dresses over and over again! Put on a trendy jacket to break the monotony and bring out the best in your otherwise dull looking clothing pieces. Jackets are an essential clothing staple you need to have in your closet regardless of what season it is and are available in a wide variety of fabrics and silhouettes meant to suit different occasions and weather.

\Whether its denim jackets,  linen jackets,  aviator jackets or biker jackets,  there is a jacket that goes with your specific style and at the same time protects you from the cold. These utterly cool clothing pieces instantly spruce up the look of other clothing items and pair well with all kinds of outfits giving you the warmth and coverage you seek depending on the occasion and weather.

If you already have a long forgotten jacket stocked up in your closet,  it’s time to take it out or buy a new one to raise your fashion quotient. Any jacket can be easily transformed into a statement piece by combining it with other clothing items and accessories.  We are sharing a list of styling tips to help you create six different looks with jackets.

  1. Aviator and leather jackets beautifully complement shirt dresses. Throw an aviator jacket over a shirt dress or lace dress of the same colour for a toned down monochromatic look with knee high boots and stay snug and stylish while going to a girls night out. If it’s chilly outside put on a pair of sports leggings underneath your boots for extra warmth. Linen jackets also look great on party dresses and keep you warm and cozy.

  1. There are endless ways you can team up your jackets with skinny jeans. Wear a subtle feminine top under a waist length denim or leather jacket with skinny jeans and complete the outfit with a pair of heels for daytime formal look. For a more relaxed look wear a flowy knee length summer dress over skinny or cropped jeans and put on a waist length jacket with sneakers. Same goes with leather pants. You can team them up with leather or denim jackets and ankle boots to look super stylish.

  1. Skater dresses look great with any kind of jacket. Wear them with a denim jacket,  scarf and flats for a casual summer look. To transcend into a night time party look,  replace the denim jacket with a leather or linen jacket and high heels to rock the party scene. Cadet jackets also go well with skater dresses. Play up this look by wearing a knitted scarf and sneakers to create a carefree tomboyish look.

  1. Stay prepared for extra chilly days by teaming bomber or aviator jackets with polo neck pullovers worn with jeans or pencil skirts. If you have an over sized sweater that fails to catch your attention jazz it up by wearing it under a well fitted jacket. Wrap a bright coloured knitted cozy muffler around your neck and put on a beany and sneakers or ankle boots in the same colour for a carefree winter time look.

  1. For sports freaks who love to jog their way to the gym, complement your gym clothing with a denim jacket or a bomber jacket to beat chilly weather. Girls can pair cadet or biker jacket with a tee and leggings worn with sports shoes for an extra stylish sporty look. Don a simple sports summer jacket over a tee and a pair of shorts to add a bit of sass to your look in summers. Insulated vests are another great option to rock the sporty look and can be worn with tees, track pants,  shorts and leggings. You can also tie the jacket around your waist or wrap it over your shoulders if you don’t feel the need to wear it and add another dimension to your other clothing pieces.

  1. You can wear summer sun dresses and maxis during fall season by donning cropped jackets over them. Cropped jackets can be worn over long sweaters in winters to create a unique style. Another way to wear cropped jackets is by wearing them over crop tops and flowy skirts, palazzos or pencil skirts to protect you from cool breeze in the evenings during summer season.
